Job summary

We are recruiting a Band 6 Midwife for Artemis Home Birth, part of the Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals group. The role focuses on physiological birth and home births as part of a continuity team, with on-call elements and autonomous practice.

The post requires NIPE training (or willingness to gain) and NLS certification, a valid driving car, and a commitment to compassionate, person-centred care across antenatal to postnatal periods.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with UK registration.
• Mentorship qualification or SSSA equivalent.
• Significant post-registration experience in midwifery.
• NLS accreditation.
• Further education in Midwifery.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all clinical activities required of a midwife.
• Assess care needs and develop/evaluate programmes of care.
• Provide antenatal, labour and postnatal care including home birth support.
• Support continuity of carer across pregnancy, birth and postnatal periods.
• Assist in home visits and outpatient assessments using own car.
