Job summary

Artemis Home Birth is seeking a midwife who is passionate about physiological birth and home birth. You will join our continuity team delivering care from booking through antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods, with support from a named consultant obstetrician and the MDT.

You will be a B6 midwife with extensive experience, NIPE trained and NLS certified (or eligible to gain). A car owner/driver is required for home visits, and you will participate in a 24-hour on-call service to maintain

Qualifications

B6 midwife with significant experience across midwifery care.
NIPE trained and NLS certification preferred; support to gain if not yet achieved.
Autonomous practitioner with ability to provide continuity of care across pregnancy, birth and postnatal periods.

Responsibilities

Undertake clinical activities required of a midwife.
Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate care plans.
Provide and perform accurate assessments during antenatal, labour and postnatal periods.
Support home birth, water birth, perineal suturing and IV drug administration when needed.
Contribute to parent education and UNICEF Baby Friendly initiatives.
Participate in 24-hour on-call service to ensure continuity of care.
