Job summary

Inspired is seeking a Sustainability Solutions Director to lead revenue growth in its Optimisation and decarbonisation division. This home-based role includes travel to UK offices and involves selling energy efficiency, smart building, retrofit, and on-site generation solutions.

You will manage warm leads from 3,000 energy consultancy customers, convert them into long-term relationships, and work with pre-sales to build compelling business cases, targeting multi-million contracts and delivering

Qualifications

• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets within B2B environments.
• Experience within sustainability, energy management, ESG, decarbonisation or net-zero environments.
• Knowledge of UK energy and building regulations, compliance frameworks and sustainability reporting requirements.
• Experience working with energy monitoring, controls integration or smart building solution providers.
• Experience closing deals with contract value of £1m or more.

Responsibilities

• Deliver against individual new business revenue and margin targets.
• Manage warm leads sourced from ~3,000 energy consultancy customers; no cold outreach.
• Close opportunities across BMS, smart building technologies, IoT-enabled optimisation, energy upgrades, decarbonisation, on-site generation.
• Maintain CRM records and forecasts, ensuring accurate opportunity tracking.
• Lead commercial negotiations and handover to delivery teams; ensure client value is achieved.
