Job summary

Capita is recruiting for an Assistant Technician - Maintenance and Repair in Norwich. The role is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a supplied van for travel to East Norfolk sites and a home-based working style with site visits across the East Norfolk area.

You will undertake maintenance and repair tasks, including basic plumbing and joinery, and support site teams while adhering to safety and environmental procedures. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain safe working environments in non-office settings with varied hazards.
• Team-focused, self-motivated and able to work under direct supervision when required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work in varied client environments.
• Must live in East Norfolk.
• Full UK drivers licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment across the site, including minor repairs.
• Carry out a variety of reactive and preventative day-to-day maintenance tasks.
• Support general labouring and site work, including painting and decorating, handling heavy materials, sweeping and cleaning.
• Undertake plumbing and joinery tasks within your level of competence.
• Keep sites, facilities and equipment clean and in good condition, disposing of refuse safely when required.
• Escalate equipment issues to the Maintenance and Repair Senior Technician.
