Job summary

Capita plc is seeking an Assistant Technician for Maintenance and Repair in East Norfolk. The role is permanent and full-time (37.5 hours/week), with travel to sites across East Norfolk in a supplied van and a home-based work pattern with occasional site visits.

You will assist with maintenance and repairs, perform both preventive and reactive tasks, and support general site work while adhering to health and safety procedures. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to perform physical, hands-on tasks.
• Ability to work in non-office settings with varied hazards.
• Team-oriented with ability to work under supervision when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance and repair of equipment across the site, including minor repairs.
• Carry out reactive and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Support general site work including painting, decorating, handling heavy materials, cleaning.
• Undertake plumbing and joinery tasks within competence.
• Keep sites, facilities and equipment clean and in good condition, dispose of refuse safely.
• Escalate equipment issues to the Maintenance and Repair Senior Technician.
