Job summary

Capita in Norwich, United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Technician - Maintenance and Repair. This permanent, full-time role involves visiting sites across East Norfolk to perform maintenance and repairs, and to support general labouring tasks.

Travel will be in a supplied van from a home-based base with site visits rather than a fixed workplace. You will undertake a range of maintenance tasks, adhere to safety procedures, and collaborate with colleagues to keep sites and equipment in good

Qualifications

• Physically demanding role with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to maintain safe working environments in non-office settings with various hazards.
• Team-focused with self-motivation and the ability to work under direct supervision when required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work in varied client environments.
• You must live in the East Norfolk area to be considered.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment across the site, including minor repairs.
• Carry out reactive and preventative day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks.
• Support general labouring and site work, including painting and decorating, handling heavy materials, sweeping and cleaning.
• Undertake plumbing and joinery tasks within your level of competence.
• Keep sites, facilities and equipment clean and in good condition, disposing of refuse safely when required.
• Escalate equipment issues to the Maintenance and Repair Senior Technician.
• Maintain adequate stocks of consumables and equipment.
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures at all times, completing work to a high standard.
