Job summary

NYC is seeking an Intermediate Care Worker to provide in‑home support across Settle, Ingleton and Bentham areas. The role offers part‑time hours (18.5 per week) with shifts across evenings and alternate weekends, travel between client homes, and a focus on reablement and independence. Full induction and training are provided.

The position requires compassionate, patient individuals who can work safely as lone workers in the community. DBS check is required; English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Provide person-centred care that promotes dignity, respect and choice.
• Be able to travel independently across the Craven Area and visit service users in their homes.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training including NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Care if new to sector.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care and support with daily living tasks and personal care.
• Support individuals to regain independence and confidence at home.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Use PPE and follow infection prevention and control procedures.
