Job summary

Northyorks is recruiting an Intermediate Care Worker to support adults at home for up to six weeks under a Home First approach. You will help clients regain independence, manage daily tasks, and access community services in Skipton and surrounding areas.

The role is part-time (18.5 hours per week) with shifts across a 7-day service, including evenings and weekends. Travel across Craven area is required; training including NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Care is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in care is preferred, but values and willingness to learn matter most.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care that promotes dignity, respect and choice.
• Support adults with personal care, daily living tasks, meal preparation and household activities.
• Encourage people to access community facilities and universal services.
• Help individuals regain mobility and confidence through reablement-focused activities.
• Be part of a multi-disciplinary team and communicate with families and professionals.
