Job summary

Principal People partnered with an established consultancy to recruit a Health and Safety Consultant. The role is home based with travel to client sites around the Midlands and South, including occasional overnight stays.

You will perform audits, maintain client relationships, support investigations after incidents, and deliver training both virtually and on site. The firm supports professional development toward further qualifications in fire safety, auditing, and training.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• IOSH membership at Tech IOSH level or willing to work towards this.
• Good organisation skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build client relationships.
• Full UK driving licence with ability to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out health and safety audits and inspections on client sites and produce reports explaining findings and recommended actions.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients to become a trusted extension of their team.
• Support clients following incidents and near misses where required, including investigations and guidance on corrective actions.
• Deliver training both virtually and on site with clients.
