Job summary

Dovetail and Slate seeks a home-based Electrical Training Officer to guide apprentices across the Western region and Thames Valley. You will conduct visits, perform practical assessments, and engage employers to support learners in achieving trade qualifications.

The role suits an experienced assessor or qualified electrician transitioning into training, with 35 hours weekly across Monday to Friday and a salary up to £42,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Trade background with electrical installation experience.
• GCSE Maths and English or functional skills equivalent.
• Desirable: IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition and assessor qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical apprentices through workplace visits and progress reviews.
• Conduct fair assessments of knowledge, skills and behaviours.
• Engage with employers to create opportunities and safe workplaces.
• Track learner progress and maintain digital records.
• Identify risks and plan targeted interventions with employers.
