Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and caring Community Complimentary Therapist to join the Community Palliative Care Team. You will provide holistic therapies to palliative care patients in their homes, alongside specialist nurses and other colleagues.

Therapies may include Aromatherapy, Massage, Reflexology, Reiki, Relaxation and Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), with duties to assess, plan, implement and evaluate therapy programs within a

Qualifications

• Recognised qualifications by the federation of holistic therapists.
• Possession of a valid/full driver's licence.
• Experience planning and implementing therapies in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver complementary therapy interventions tailored to individual needs.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate therapy programmes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.
• Prioritise referrals and manage own caseload.
• Support patients and families through challenging situations.
• Promote complementary therapies as part of palliative care.
