Job summary

Cook Trading Limited is recruiting for a Christmas Casual Retail Team Member in Harpenden. You’ll host customers in the shop, help plan menus and advise on offers, and keep the shop immaculate with stocked freezers and well presented displays.

You’ll be on the till, handle end-of-day reconciliation and assist with deliveries and stock checks. Prior retail experience is welcome but not essential, and full training will be provided. Enjoy excellent benefits and a friendly team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer-facing role welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Offer remarkable service, the customer is always more important than anything else you are doing.
• Use your knowledge to help customers plan menus or advise on catering for occasions. Talk to customers about upcoming offers, products and promotions.
• Ensure the shop looks immaculate, stock is replenished and rotated, and freezers are full.
• Be a whizz on the till. Operate it efficiently and accurately.
• Understand shop paperwork, necessary legal checks and their purpose.
• Open up the shop. Close the shop, End-of-day reconciliation
• Check in deliveries and placing orders, assist with stock taking as required.
