Job description

Let's Play is seeking an individual to lead and deliver sports activities at our Fun Week programme during school holidays at Horfield Leisure Centre, Bristol. This role involves delivering a variety of sports games to a high standard, catering for children aged 5 to 12 of mixed abilities.

The daily programme includes activities from our schedule aimed at positively impacting young children. Sessions range from Multi-Sports, Performing Arts/Dance, Swimming, Bouncy Castle, Team Games, Esports, Lego Building, to Arts and Crafts.

Essential Requirements:

• Interest and passion for working with and facilitating fun games for primary-aged children
• Experience at children’s holiday camps and/or childcare settings
• Willingness to develop skills and practice
• Punctuality, reliability, and commitment
• Experience delivering activities to primary-aged children
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to interact well with staff, parents/carers, and children

Preferred Requirements:

• Clean UK driver’s license
• Experience or willingness to deliver other activities like Arts and Crafts or Multi-Sports
• Qualifications from Sixth Form, College, or University

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage and motivate your team to deliver high-standard programmes
• Communicate regularly with parents/carers, staff, and Directors
• Ensure sessions are challenging, realistic, and fun
• Create a positive environment for children
• Consistently deliver coaching programmes to a high standard
• Follow our philosophy of Fun, Inclusive, and Educational activities
• Understand and engage with individual needs of staff and children
• Handle first aid/emergency situations appropriately
• Be approachable for liaising with parents/carers
• Ensure each session is delivered to the best of your ability
• Show creativity and passion in delivery
