About Brain In Hand

Were here to make the world more accessible especially for neurodivergent people and those facing mental health challenges. Brain in Hand combines human support with smart digital tools to help people live more independently, confidently, and on their own terms.

Youll find us working with universities, employers, local authorities and the NHS, supporting people to manage day-to-day life with the right tools and the right conversations.

Were scaling fast and thinking big. That means growing a team of people who care deeply, work collaboratively, and want to shape how support is delivered.

About The Role

As a Brain in Hand Coach, youll work 1:1 with people who want to feel more in control, make the most of their strengths, and do more of the things that matter to them . Most of the people youll support are neurodivergent and every journey is unique.

Day to day, this is a focused and structured role : youll typically deliver up to five coaching sessions per day (via video or phone), with time between sessions for admin, preparation and follow-up. Youll be based at your computer throughout the day, working independently but supported by a collaborative, remote-first team.

Youll use a coaching approach rooted in strengths, practical problem-solving, and digital tools. This isnt a role with lots of variety or autonomy in tasks but if youre someone who thrives on meaningful, consistent 1:1 work and wants to make a direct difference in peoples lives, it could be a great fit.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Delivering 1:1 remote coaching sessions using strength-based, person-led approaches
  • Supporting people to build strategies, confidence, and day-to-day independence
  • Using Brain in Hands digital tools to enable meaningful outcomes
  • Managing your caseload and session delivery in a focused and efficient way
  • Encouraging positive engagement with users and supporting session uptake
  • Contributing to peer supervision, feedback and team development
  • Supporting onboarding for new coaches as we grow
  • Embedding safeguarding awareness and reporting as part of your routine practice

What We're Looking For

  • Some experience supporting neurodivergent individuals , or those with anxiety or mental health challenges through coaching, mentoring, education, care or similar
  • A coaching qualification (e.g. ILM Level 3 or 5) or a willingness to complete one with us
  • Confident delivering coaching remotely and using digital tools day to day
  • Able to work flexibly within the core hours of 9am7pm
  • Skilled at building rapport, asking thoughtful questions, and helping people reflect
  • A team player who welcomes feedback and is always learning
  • Clear communicator, organised self-starter, and digitally capable
  • Aware of safeguarding and confident in escalating concerns appropriately

Is This Role Right for You?

This Role Could Be a Great Fit If

You enjoy meaningful 1:1 work and feel energised by helping people build confidence and independence

Youre comfortable spending most of your day at a computer, delivering remote sessions with focus and consistency

You like structure and routine and are happy working within clear frameworks and time slots

Youre confident using digital tools and video calls, and can keep notes and admin tidy and on time

Youre motivated by outcomes and want to make a difference in peoples day-to-day lives

It Might Not Be The Right Fit If

Youre looking for a highly varied role with lots of creative autonomy or project work

You find it hard to stay focused and energised in a structured, screen-based role with consistent daily sessions

You prefer in-person interaction or on-the-go working

What Youll Get

  • A 9-day working fortnight every second Friday is yours to rest, recharge or reset
  • 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Remote-first, UK-wide working with occasional in-person team events
  • Support for your professional development and wellbeing
  • Access to peer groups, employee communities and wellbeing initiatives
  • A values-led, inclusive culture where your voice is heard
