Working Hours:Summer school holidays, 3 days per week (Tues 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th August, Wed, 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th Aug and Thurs 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th Aug) 13.5 hours per week, 9.45am – 2.15pm and 12 hours per week 10am – 2pm

Salary:£7.55 to £12.21 per hour (Age dependent) + Excellent Benefits

To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for Holiday Scheme Assistants to join our fun and vibrant team at our Oak Tree site.

This is an exciting brand-new role funded by the council which has been created for the school holidayswhich you can be part of. In this role you will work with your fellow team members to plan and deliver a safe, fun, and engaging program of sports, arts and craft activities that meets the needs of our customers who will be aged 4 to 12 years old during the school holidays.

Your days will be varied and will include providing activity sessions, coaching various sports, handing out lunch bags and making sure the kids are enjoying themselves, are well looked after and have the best experience possible.

This is your chance to be involved in in a fantastic new scheme keeping children entertained during the school holidays and you will go home each day with a huge sense of satisfaction at the difference you have made.

We share your passion for leisure, and we will offer a safe, fun, and professional working environment with excellent development opportunities, including supporting you in achieving Swimming Teacher and/or Lifeguarding qualifications which will enable you to take on casual roles at your local Centre during term times and school holidays if you so wish.

Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust.

About you

First and foremost, you will need to have excellent customer service skills, communication and organisational skills as well as be comfortable working with children. We welcome applications from candidates aged 16 and above.

We are looking for candidates who are outgoing, enthusiastic, and highly motivated to be considered for this role.

Lastly, it’s desirable that you hold a sport specific, play work qualification, first aid certificate as well as child protection however this is not essential as full training will be provided.

Interviews are expected to take place on the 8th and 10th July and will be group interviews with start date 5th August (subject to change) Mandatory training and induction days are Tues 29th July and 31st July, times TBC.

You must be able to work all the dates to be considered for this role.
