Job summary

FiND is seeking an experienced HNC/HND Engineering Lecturer to deliver higher-level engineering theory to learners in Coventry. The role focuses on Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with a strong emphasis on Mathematics and engineering principles in a classroom setting.

You will plan engaging lessons, develop resources, assess learner work and support progression through HNC/HND qualifications. The position is full-time and offers professional development and a funded teaching qualification.

Qualifications

• A relevant HNC, HND, degree or equivalent higher-level engineering qualification.
• Strong technical knowledge in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• A good understanding of Engineering Mathematics, Science and Principles.
• Experience working in engineering, education, training or technical delivery.
• The ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver classroom-based HNC/HND lessons.
• Teaching complex engineering theory and principles in a clear and practical way.
• Developing lesson plans, presentations and learning resources.
• Supporting learners with assignments, projects and technical development.
• Assessing learner work and providing constructive feedback.
• Monitoring learner progress and supporting successful completion of their qualifications.
• Linking engineering theory to real-world industrial applications.
• Keeping subject knowledge and teaching content aligned with current engineering practice.
• Creating a positive, professional and engaging learning environment.
