Job summary

Broadhembury Church of England Primary School is seeking a fixed-term HLTA to start November 2026, funded through EHCP money. The post-holder will oversee and deliver targeted interventions for pupils with EHCPs, direct teaching assistants on EHCP provision, and cover classes to release teachers for coaching and training.

The role is full-time and term-time only, split between midday teaching assistant duties and HLTA hours, with lunchtime enrichment for EHCP pupils and the wider school

Responsibilities

• Oversee, coordinate and deliver targeted interventions and support for pupils with EHCPs.
• Direct and support teaching assistants in delivering aspects of EHCP provision.
• Cover classes and release teachers for coaching, senior teacher release, professional development and training.
• Provide lunchtime support for EHCP pupils and the wider school community.
• Develop enrichment opportunities that support pupils' personal development and wellbeing.
• Carry out midday teaching assistant (MTA) duty.
