Job summary

Blue Arrow is partnering with a well-established primary school to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) on a fixed-term basis until late 2027 and potentially early 2028. The HLTA will support pupils’ learning, deliver targeted interventions and provide high-quality classroom support across the school.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a primary school environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the school.
• Deliver planned lessons and learning activities under teacher direction.
• Lead small group intervention sessions.
• Provide classroom cover when required.
• Support pupils with varying learning needs and abilities.
• Monitor and record pupil progress.
• Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and school leadership teams.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment for all pupils.
