Job summary

Envision Education is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with SEND experience to support pupils and teachers in Windsor and surrounding areas. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, with a Level 3 qualification essential and HLTA status desirable.

You will lead and support a range of activities, adapting approaches for pupils with complex needs and behaviours, while promoting inclusion and wellbeing in a collaborative school setting.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• HLTA status or a Level 4 HLTA qualification would be highly desirable.
• Experience working in a school setting with SEND and additional needs.
• Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties and behavioural needs.
• Confidence leading classroom activities and small-group learning sessions.
• Experience implementing positive behaviour management strategies.
• Strong understanding of children’s learning and development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, confident and proactive approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider school team.
• Availability Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
• Ability to commute to Windsor and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and delivery of engaging lessons and classroom activities.
• Lead whole-class, small-group and one-to-one learning sessions.
• Provide specialist support for pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Support pupils with complex learning, communication and behavioural needs.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual abilities.
• Implement positive behaviour management strategies.
• Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and personal development.
• Help pupils develop communication, independence and social skills.
• Monitor pupils’ progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and classroom management.
• Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants and other professionals.
