Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd seeks an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support learning at a Gerrards Cross school. You will deliver planned lessons, support pupils with diverse needs, and collaborate with teachers and the SEND team to create an inclusive learning environment.

The role offers flexibility in scheduling and opportunities for professional development, with safeguarding checks and a DBS requirement for successful applicants.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in educational support roles.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties).

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons and learning activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes.
• Provide high-quality teaching and learning support across different year groups and subjects.
• Work with teachers to plan, prepare and adapt learning resources to meet pupils' needs.
• Support pupils with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties.
• Monitor and record pupils' progress, giving feedback to teachers.
• Implement and support IEPs, behaviour support plans and other learning strategies.
• Lead targeted interventions to support literacy, numeracy, communication and social development.
• Promote positive behaviour, independence and high learning expectations.
