Protocol Education Limited is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) / Cover Supervisor for a secondary school in Dartford, Kent. This full-time position involves leading classes in the absence of teachers and delivering pre-planned lessons to support student progress.

The ideal candidate will hold an HLTA qualification, have school experience, and possess strong behaviour management and communication skills to foster an engaging learning environment.

Competitive Daily Rate (£120-£130 per day dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step?

We are seeking a confident and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) / Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in Dartford on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced education professional who enjoys supporting students' learning while confidently leading classes in the absence of teachers.

The Role

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
• Cover classes in the absence of teaching staff.
• Support students' academic progress and engagement.
• Assist with interventions and small group work where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and classroom standards.
• Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support student achievement.
• Provide feedback on student progress and lesson outcomes.

Experience & Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a school setting.
• HLTA qualification essential.
• Experience leading classes or covering lessons is advantageous.
• Strong behaviour management and classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people's education and development.
