Job summary

Oasis Academy Don Valley in Sheffield is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to lead learning during teacher release time and support pupil progress across year groups. You will deliver engaging activities, provide high-quality PPA cover and work with teachers to raise attainment while promoting positive behaviour.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be adaptable and safeguarding-minded, with 3 GCSEs including English and Maths and ideally an HLTA

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, including English and Maths
• HLTA qualification desirable, though support will be available for the right candidate
• Relevant experience supporting high-quality teaching and learning

Responsibilities

• Leading learning during teacher release time and planned absence
• Delivering targeted interventions to support pupil progress
• Creating engaging learning activities and resources
• Supporting assessment and monitoring attainment
• Promoting positive behaviour and high expectations
• Providing pastoral support that helps pupils feel safe, valued and ready to learn
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and families to secure the best outcomes
