Job summary

Remedy Education is recruiting for a KS2 HLTA in Barking to support Year 5 and Year 6 pupils with Maths and English through small group and 1:1 interventions. You will work alongside teachers to deliver targeted sessions and help pupils close gaps in learning, with occasional class cover as needed.

The ideal candidate has primary school experience, strong Year 5/6 knowledge, and a track record of delivering effective booster sessions and behaviour management in a classroom setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a primary school.
• Strong knowledge of Year 5 and Year 6 Maths and English.
• Experience delivering interventions or booster sessions.
• Good behaviour management.
• Confidence supporting small groups and 1:1 pupils.
• Previous HLTA experience or confidence covering pre-planned lessons.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with class teachers to deliver targeted Maths and English support.
• Run small group sessions and 1:1 interventions.
• Help pupils build confidence ahead of key assessments.
• May cover pre-planned lessons or class cover when required.

Remedy Education are working with a welcoming primary school in Barking who are looking for a confident HLTA to support pupils across Year 5 and Year 6.

This role is focused on Maths and English intervention support, so the school need someone who is confident with the Upper KS2 curriculum and able to help pupils close gaps in learning.

The role:

• KS2 Maths and English HLTA
• Barking, East London
• ASAP start
• Full time
• £120 - £160 per day
• Year 5 and Year 6 support
• Small group and 1:1 intervention work

You will be working closely with class teachers to deliver targeted support in Maths and English, run small group sessions and help pupils build confidence before key assessments. There may also be some class cover when required.
