Job summary

Remedy Education are working with a welcoming primary school in Barking who are seeking a confident HLTA to support pupils across Year 5 and Year 6. The role focuses on Maths and English intervention, with an ASAP start and full-time hours.

You will work closely with class teachers to deliver targeted Maths and English interventions, run small group sessions and provide 1:1 support to help pupils close gaps ahead of key assessments. There may also be some class cover when required.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a primary school.
• Strong knowledge of Year 5 and Year 6 Maths and English.
• Experience delivering interventions or booster sessions.
• Good behaviour management.
• Confidence supporting small groups and 1:1 pupils.
• Previous HLTA experience or confidence covering pre-planned lessons.

This role is focused on Maths and English intervention support, so the school need someone who is confident with the Upper KS2 curriculum and able to help pupils close gaps in learning.

The role:

• KS2 Maths and English HLTA
• Barking, East London
• ASAP start
• Full time
• £120 - £160 per day
• Year 5 and Year 6 support
• Small group and 1:1 intervention work
