Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an experienced HLTA to support pupils with complex SEND at a Wolverhampton specialist setting. You will work across mixed age groups, lead learning activities and support teaching staff to meet individual needs.

This long-term role offers an immediate start with potential permanent progression, in a supportive environment with safeguarding emphasis and access to CPD. PAYE pay, with market-leading rates and ongoing consultant support.

Qualifications

• HLP Level HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting children and young people with complex SEND.
• Experience working with pupils with severe learning needs.
• Strong communication, behaviour management and organisational skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead learning activities and support pupils across mixed age groups.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND setting in Wolverhampton supporting pupils of mixed ages with severe and complex needs. The setting provides a structured and supportive environment where pupils receive personalised support to help them engage with learning and develop their communication, confidence and independence.

The school is looking to appoint an HLTA on a long-term basis with an immediate start, with the opportunity for the role to become permanent. The successful HLTA will support pupils across mixed age groups, lead learning activities, work alongside teaching staff and adapt their approach to meet the individual needs of pupils with severe SEND.

The successful HLTA will have:

• HLTA qualification or relevant experience working at HLTA level
• Experience supporting children and young people with complex SEND
• Experience working with pupils with severe learning needs
• Strong communication, behaviour management and organisational skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
