Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an HLTA to support pupils with complex SEND in a Wolverhampton setting. Immediate start with long-term potential for permanency. You will lead learning activities, work with teachers, and adapt your approach to meet individual pupil needs across mixed age groups.

The role offers market-leading pay, ongoing CPD through the My-Progression channel, and a 24/7 consultant support system. PAYE payroll applies with dedicated onboarding support.

Qualifications

Start Date: Immediate Start

Salary: £120 - £150 per day

Are you an experienced HLTA with a strong background supporting pupils with complex SEND needs?

Do you have the resilience and confidence to support pupils with severe and complex needs across different age groups?

Are you looking for a long-term role with the potential to become permanent?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND setting in Wolverhampton supporting pupils of mixed ages with severe and complex needs. The setting provides a structured and supportive environment where pupils receive personalised support to help them engage with learning and develop their communication, confidence and independence.

The school is looking to appoint an HLTA on a long-term basis with an immediate start, with the opportunity for the role to become permanent. The successful HLTA will support pupils across mixed age groups, lead learning activities, work alongside teaching staff and adapt their approach to meet the individual needs of pupils with severe SEND.

The successful HLTA will have:

• HLTA qualification or relevant experience working at HLTA level
• Experience supporting children and young people with complex SEND
• Experience working with pupils with severe learning needs
• Confidence supporting pupils across different age groups
• Strong communication, behaviour management and organisational skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
