Job summary

The Challenge Academy Trust is seeking a proactive HLTA/teaching assistant to lead literacy interventions and support pupils with literacy difficulties, SEND and EAL. The role involves delivering Lexonik Advance and Lexonik Leap to build reading fluency, vocabulary, decoding and comprehension.

You will develop wider learning interventions using MeLSA principles, monitor progress and collaborate with staff to show measurable impact while safeguarding pupils.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience delivering literacy or targeted interventions.
• Experience working in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver targeted interventions for literacy, SEND and EAL.
• Deliver Lexonik Advance and Lexonik Leap to improve reading fluency, decoding, spelling and comprehension.
• Develop and implement wider learning interventions using MeLSA principles.
• Monitor pupil progress, analyse impact and work with colleagues to demonstrate measurable improvements.
