Job summary

Summerhill Academy in Bristol is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Level 3) on a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027. The role supports teaching and learning by planning, preparing and delivering engaging activities under supervision.

It involves 1:1, small group and whole-class support, with duties including targeted interventions and occasional lesson cover. Ideal candidates will have strong class-ro le understanding, GCSEs in English and Maths, and a commitment to HLTA

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils 1:1, in small groups and whole class
• GCSEs in English and Maths (C/4 or above) or equivalent
• Commitment to HLTA status or Level 3 qualification and training such as first aid

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality learning activities under staff guidance
• Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress
• Cover lessons for small groups or classes within an agreed framework
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
