Job summary

Rednal Hill Junior School in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across the school. You will lead learning when required and help create an engaging, inclusive curriculum for all pupils.

The successful candidate will hold HLTA status or equivalent and have experience with primary-aged children, plus excellent communication and teamwork. This term-time role is fixed for 1 year with potential for permanency.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups and whole classes.
• Lead whole-class teaching as directed by leaders.
• Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and disadvantaged pupils.
• Provide targeted intervention programmes to accelerate pupil progress.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Contribute to assessment, record-keeping and reporting processes.
• Support the organisation of educational visits, enrichment activities and school events.
• Uphold the values and ethos of the school and participate in staff development.
