Job summary

Aspire People are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in Monmouth. You will support pupils with a range of learning needs, deliver planned activities and interventions, and provide 1:1 and small-group support.

You'll work alongside teaching staff to monitor pupil progress, help maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines, and provide cover for lessons when required. Immediate and ongoing opportunities are available, with both full-time and part-time roles.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or relevant teaching experience.
• Experience working with children or young people.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• DBS check enhanced for children; willingness to register with the DBS Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with diverse learning needs.

The Role

Requirements

• Experience supporting ALN/SEN pupils desirable
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• EWC registration or willingness to register
• Enhanced DBS for Children on the DBS Update Service
