Juniper House School is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support students academically and emotionally. You will work with teachers to lead learning, run interventions, and uphold safeguarding and school policies.

The role is permanent, full-time during term time plus 10 inset days, with a standard 8:00am–4:00pm schedule and CPD opportunities. A supportive team and collaborative environment across West Berkshire are offered.

Competenze

• Proven experience supporting children or young people with complex needs including SEND and social/emotional needs.
• Qualification at Level 3 or Level 5 as required for the HLTA role.
• Ability to lead learning, support engagement and behaviour calmly under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted pupil relationships.

Mansioni

• Support pupils in class to improve engagement, behaviour and progress.
• Deliver learning activities and interventions aligned with teacher plans.
• Lead whole-class learning when needed.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies.
