Job summary

Smile Education is seeking experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support welcoming primary schools across Hull and surrounding areas. Roles include PPA cover, whole-class supervision, and targeted interventions across EYFS to KS2, with flexible supply, regular PPA cover, or longer-term placements.

Candidates should have HLTA status or a Level 4 HLTA qualification, plus Level 2 TA qualification and UK classroom experience in a primary setting. DBS and references are required.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent recognised qualification is required.
• Experience in UK primary settings delivering higher-level support.
• Strong grasp of the primary curriculum across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Responsibilities

• PPA cover and pre-planned lesson delivery.
• Whole-class support and supervision across year groups.
• Small-group interventions to boost literacy and numeracy.
• SEN support and adapting activities for additional needs.
• Flexible supply work and long-term placements available.
