Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming two-form-entry primary school in Richmond Upon Thames, South West London. The HLTA will support high-quality teaching, deliver targeted interventions, provide 1:1 and small-group support, and assist with SEND, behaviour and classroom management.

The role is open to experienced HLTAs and Level 6 Teaching Assistants with a recognised qualification or equivalent, starting September 2026.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 6 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience delivering targeted interventions and supporting pupil progress.
• Ability to work with SEND and manage behaviour in a primary setting.

Responsibilities

• Support high-quality teaching and learning in a primary classroom.
• Deliver targeted interventions to pupils as needed.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
• Assist with SEND, behaviour and classroom management.
