We're currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed HLTA to join a welcoming and supportive school in Chelmsford, working with pupils who require additional support with their learning, development and wellbeing.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is confident working with children with SEND and additional needs, enjoys taking responsibility and wants to play an important role within the classroom and wider school community.
As an HLTA, you will work closely with teachers and the wider school team to support pupils and ensure they are able to access learning and make progress.
Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Leading targeted interventions and learning activities
Supporting pupils with additional and SEND needs
Assisting teachers with planning, preparation and classroom activities
Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills
Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Working with pupils who may display challenging behaviour
Providing consistent and nurturing support throughout the school day
Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
Helping create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Supporting pupils during lessons, transitions, break times and other activities
Building strong and professional relationships with pupils, staff and families
Taking responsibility for activities and learning when required
