Academics is seeking a History Teacher to join our Kingston Upon Hull talent pool. You will deliver engaging History lessons for KS3 and KS4, inspiring a passion for the past and encouraging discussion and independent thinking.

You will prep students for GCSEs, work with the History department, and track progress to adapt teaching as needed. Qualified teachers with experience in UK secondary schools are invited to apply.

Formación

From ancient civilisations and medieval power struggles to world wars, revolutions and the events that have shaped the world we live in today, History gives young people the opportunity to question, debate and understand the world around them.

The Role

As a History Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Inspire students to develop a genuine curiosity about the past
• Encourage discussion, debate and independent thinking
• Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations
• Create a positive classroom environment where students feel confident to contribute
• Work alongside colleagues to support the wider History department
• Track and assess student progress, adapting your teaching where required

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from qualified History Teachers who:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching History within a UK secondary school
• Have strong subject knowledge across the secondary History curriculum
• Can engage students with different abilities and learning needs
• Have high expectations for behaviour, achievement and progress
• Are passionate about making History relevant and exciting
