Job summary

Academics is seeking a History Teacher to join our Kingston Upon Hull talent pool. You will deliver engaging History lessons for KS3 and KS4, inspiring a passion for the past and encouraging discussion and independent thinking.

You will prep students for GCSEs, work with the History department, and track progress to adapt teaching as needed. Qualified teachers with experience in UK secondary schools are invited to apply.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching History in a UK secondary school.
• Strong knowledge across the secondary History curriculum.
• Ability to engage students with different abilities and learning needs.
• High expectations for behaviour, achievement and progress.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging History lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Inspire students to develop curiosity about the past.
• Encourage discussion, debate and independent thinking.
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations.
• Create a positive classroom environment for contribution.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the History department.
• Track and assess student progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
