We are looking for a dedicated and outstanding History Teacher to join our Humanities department in September 2025 on a permanent, full-time basis.
What does this job do?
- Plan and deliver a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students.
- Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor.
- Encourage and deliver a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
- Contribute to raising student attainment.
What are the job requirements?
- QTS Qualification.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of national and examination curricular requirements of the subject.
- Excellent knowledge of History.
- Ability to plan lessons with clear objectives to ensure progression for all students.
- Effective teaching across Key Stage 3/4.
- Deep understanding and commitment to safeguarding children and young people.
- Experience teaching KS3-KS4 students, with an understanding of secondary school teaching provision.
- A second Humanities subject qualification would be beneficial.
- This position is suitable for ECTs.
