Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and outstanding History Teacher to join our Humanities department in September 2025 on a permanent, full-time basis.

What does this job do?

1. Plan and deliver a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students.
2. Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor.
3. Encourage and deliver a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
4. Contribute to raising student attainment.

What are the job requirements?

1. QTS Qualification.
2. Excellent knowledge and understanding of national and examination curricular requirements of the subject.
3. Excellent knowledge of History.
4. Ability to plan lessons with clear objectives to ensure progression for all students.
5. Effective teaching across Key Stage 3/4.
6. Deep understanding and commitment to safeguarding children and young people.
7. Experience teaching KS3-KS4 students, with an understanding of secondary school teaching provision.
8. A second Humanities subject qualification would be beneficial.
9. This position is suitable for ECTs.
