The post requires QTS with a History specialism, experience teaching History across KS3 and KS4, and strong knowledge of the curriculum, plus excellent classroom management.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school based in Chelmsford with a Good OFSTED rating. The school provides a positive learning environment and is looking for a Humanities Teacher who can engage students and contribute to the continued success of the Humanities department.

The school is looking to appoint a Humanities Teacher on a permanent basis from October, teaching History across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful Humanities Teacher will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, monitor student progress and maintain high standards of teaching and classroom management.

The successful Humanities Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• A specialism in History
• Experience teaching History across KS3 and KS4
• Strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum
• Excellent classroom management
• A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
