Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Humanities Teacher for a Good OFSTED SEMH school in Failsworth. You will teach Geography and History across KS3/KS4, delivering engaging lessons while supporting pupils with SEMH needs in a calm, structured setting.

The role starts September on a long-term basis, with PAYE and market-leading daily rates. Must hold QTS in Humanities with strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

Job description

Job Title: Humanities Teacher

Location: Failsworth

Start Date: September

Salary: £170 - £250 per day

Are you a qualified Humanities Teacher with experience teaching Geography and History across KS3 and KS4?

Do you have strong classroom management skills and the resilience to support pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour?

Can you create engaging Humanities lessons while building positive relationships with young people who require additional support?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Good OFSTED-rated SEMH school in Failsworth, providing a supportive environment for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The school promotes a positive and inclusive culture where pupils are encouraged to engage with their education, develop confidence and achieve their potential.

The school is looking to take on a Humanities Teacher on a long-term basis from September, teaching Geography and History across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful Humanities Teacher will be expected to deliver engaging lessons, manage challenging behaviour effectively and provide a consistent and supportive classroom environment.

The successful Humanities Teacher will have:

• QTS with relevant Humanities, Geography or History specialism
• Experience teaching Geography and History across KS3 and KS4
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A resilient, patient and adaptable approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
