Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a History & Humanities Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 support to children and young people across Southampton and the surrounding Hampshire areas. You will deliver engaging lessons in History, Geography, Religious Studies, and wider Humanities topics, helping learners overcome barriers and build confidence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of History and/or Humanities subjects.
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across Southampton and surrounding Hampshire areas.

Responsibilities
