Job summary

University of Hull is seeking a Cataloguing Project Manager to join the Library’s Collections Development Team. The role is full time (36.5 hours per week) on a fixed term basis for six months, with a salary in the Band 6 range (£33,002 to £38,784 per annum).

You will catalogue across Hull sites, including Blaydes House and Hull History Centre, ensuring professional standards and coordinating with colleagues in the Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Education.

Qualifications

• Must have a recognised qualification in library and information management.
• Experience with library management systems, particularly the cataloguing functions.
• Knowledge of MARC, RDA, AACR2, and Library of Congress schedules.
• Project management experience with demonstrable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Catalogue collections to professional standards and manage the transfer of catalogue records.
• Coordinate with teams across the University to support metadata activity.
• Liaise with colleagues in the Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Education and the Collections Development Team.
• Engage in continuing professional development.
