Job summary

NHS Forth Valley invites applications for a Consultant in Histopathology and Cytopathology. The post is full time or part time (up to 10 PA) with a substantive opportunity in a busy district general hospital in Scotland.

The successful candidate will join a team of seven consultants, providing pathology input to cancer MDTs and covering a wide range of anatomical sites. GMC registration and RCPath fellowship are essential; ongoing professional development is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Fully GMC registered and licensed to practise.
• Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists or equivalent.
• Specialist Register or near completion (Portfolio/CESR pathway) within 6 months of interview.

Responsibilities

• Provide pathology input to cancer MDTs based on interests.
• Work across Histopathology and Cytopathology as part of a Consultant team.
• Contribute to a general pathology workload within a District General Hospital.
