CRUK Scotland Institute in Glasgow is seeking a capable histology technician to join the Histology Services team. The role involves assisting and conducting procedures for production and maintenance of the Histology department, applying skills in microtomy, tissue embedding, and specimen reception.

You will work both independently and with scientists, with training provided if needed. A Bachelors or Masters in biomedical science is desirable, and attention to detail, planning and organization

Qualifications

• Experience with histology techniques including microtomy, embedding, and tissue handling.
• Ability to work with scientists and technicians in a fast-paced research environment.
• Attention to detail, good planning and organisational skills; training available if needed.

• Assist and conduct procedures for production and maintenance of the Histology department.
• Work independently and in collaboration with researchers and technicians.
• Support a range of histology techniques and related duties as required.
