Job summary

Zoetis Inc. in the United Kingdom seeks a Laboratory Technician to support histology workflows in a regulated environment. You will perform dissection, embedding, and microtomy, and you will independently carry out special stains and operate tissue processors.

You will maintain a tidy workspace, assist in specimen documentation, data entry, and participate in QA/ESG initiatives while ensuring safe use of reagents and equipment. Ongoing training is required.

Qualifications

• Competence to work on rotation for dissection, embedding and microtomy.
• Ability to independently carry out special stains.
• Familiarity with tissue processing equipment and lab IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform dissection, embedding and microtomy on rotation.
• Carry out special stains independently; operate tissue processors.
• Maintain tidy work areas and participate in specimen handling per policy.
• Record data in laboratory systems and assist with QA/ESG initiatives.
• Prepare reagents, manage stocks and ensure efficient use of consumables.
• Support risk management, incident reporting and safety training.
