Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust in London is recruiting a Band 6 Research Biomedical Scientist (Histology) to join the Amyloidosis Research and Diagnosis Laboratory Team. You will provide high-quality technical and scientific services in amyloid histopathology and immunohistochemistry, and work closely with colleagues across the laboratory.

You will work independently to process patient samples, maintain and troubleshoot equipment, train new and junior staff, and perform complex manual

Qualifications

• Biomedical Scientist with histology knowledge.
• Experience in amyloid histopathology and immunohistochemistry preferred.
• Ability to train new and junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Process patient samples in the Histology section.
• Perform complex manual and automated laboratory investigations.
• Train new and junior staff and ensure competency.
• Work with the Amyloidosis Laboratory Team across the section.
