Job summary

Speedy Group UK&I in Sheffield is seeking a Hire Controller to manage the end-to-end hire process and deliver exceptional customer service.

You will coordinate orders, delivery and collection, and work closely with depot, stock, drivers and engineers to meet customer needs and keep downtime to a minimum.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Commitment to learn and develop.
• Valid driving license.
• Previous experience in hire or related sales/operational roles.
• Ability to support ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the full hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection.
• Liaise with depot teams to ensure customer needs are met and satisfaction is achieved.
• Work on the front line of sales and customer service from the depot.
• Maintain relationships to support efficient fulfilment and minimal delays.

Job Title - Hire Controller

Location - Sheffield

Salary £29,572 per annum, pro rata

Based in the depot, the Hire Controller is a vital part of operations on the front line of sales and customer service. Relationship building is the key to success, as the Hire Controller coordinates the entire hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection, liaising with every part of the depot to ensure the needs of the customer are met and that they’re satisfied with our service.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be desk-based, working directly with the other departments, liaising regularly with stock teams, drivers and engineers to ensure minimal delay in fulfilling the needs of the customer with readily available equipment and close contact.

• Previous experience working within the hire industry or similar sales or operational role
