Job summary

Speedy Group UK&I in Poole seeks a Hire Controller to coordinate the full hire process from order to delivery and collection, liaising with stock, drivers and engineers to meet customer needs.

This desk-based role emphasizes strong relationships and exceptional service, with a focus on supporting our ESG strategy and flexible working arrangements where possible.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and colleagues.
• Commitment to learn and develop within the role and the ESG framework.
• Valid driving licence is required.
• Experience in the hire industry or similar sales/operational role.
• Ability to support the business unit to deliver ESG strategies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the entire hire process from order to delivery and collection, liaising with depot teams to meet customer needs.
• Work desk-based and collaborate with stock, drivers and engineers to minimise delays and ensure equipment is available.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to provide exceptional service.

Job Title - Hire Controller

Location - Poole

Based in the depot, the Hire Controller is a vital part of operations on the front line of sales and customer service. Relationship building is the key to success, as the Hire Controller coordinates the entire hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection, liaising with every part of the depot to ensure the needs of the customer are met and that they’re satisfied with our service.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be desk-based, working directly with the other departments, liaising regularly with stock teams, drivers and engineers to ensure minimal delay in fulfilling the needs of the customer with readily available equipment and close contact.

• Previous experience working within the hire industry or similar sales or operational role
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
