Job summary

ZENOVO LTD in Bristol is seeking a Hardware-in-the-Loop System Test & Verification Engineer to lead HiL testing for safety-critical embedded systems. You will design test strategies, write test cases, and perform automated and manual testing to ensure requirements are met, taking ownership from legacy to new products.

You will work with HiLS platforms (Speedgoat, dSPACE, NI), MATLAB/Simulink or LabVIEW, and Python scripting to build robust tests and report results.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with HiLS platforms such as Speedgoat, dSPACE or NI.
• Experience using MATLAB/Simulink and/or LabVIEW.
• Strong Python scripting and test automation experience.
• Good understanding of embedded systems, control systems and system integration.
• Experience in safety-critical or high-reliability products is a plus.
• Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop environments to test hardware and firmware for safety-critical systems.
• Create and execute robust test plans, procedures and automated tests to verify product requirements.
• Integrate physical hardware with virtual models to create realistic testing environments.
• Design test scenarios that replicate real-world operating conditions and failure modes.
• Support verification and validation activities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Analyse test results, investigate failures and identify root causes with engineering teams.
• Produce clear technical reports to support design reviews and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to reliability activities including FMEA and continuous improvement.
