Qualitrol seeks an experienced embedded validation engineer to join our Glasgow team. You will validate systems across hardware, firmware, and software, develop automated tests, and support regulatory verification.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing with lab equipment, networking, and timing technologies while collaborating with hardware, firmware and software teams to ensure robust validation.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical, electronic or computer engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in embedded systems validation, hardware verification or test automation.
• Strong knowledge of embedded systems, digital/analog electronics.

Responsibilities

• Validate embedded systems with processors, microcontrollers and Linux platforms.
• Design and execute test plans for hardware with firmware/software.
• Develop automated test tools and HIL/system-level simulations.
• Perform integration testing across hardware, firmware, networking, and software layers.
• Support CE, UL, IEC, IEEE, EMC and environmental verification.
