Job summary

ZENOVO, based in Nottinghamshire, is seeking a Cybersecurity & Test Engineer to strengthen product cybersecurity across embedded systems. You will work within the Product Development team to improve software quality and firmware release processes for a portfolio of connected devices.

You will lead cybersecurity assessments, develop automated test environments, and collaborate with firmware, hardware and quality teams to ensure secure development and compliant releases throughout the product

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.
Experience testing and validating embedded systems.
Experience writing structured test specifications and executing product validation.
Experience with automated test frameworks and test automation (preferably Python).
Experience testing embedded hardware via interfaces such as USB, UART/RS232, and IP networking.
Strong understanding of embedded systems and software development processes.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles for embedded/connected products.

Responsibilities

Lead cybersecurity assessments across embedded and network-connected products.
Identify cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities and compliance gaps, recommending practical mitigation strategies.
Investigate and resolve cybersecurity issues within embedded products.
Coordinate release readiness, including verification, validation, traceability and release approval.
Develop and execute structured test plans for embedded and connected products.
Design, develop and maintain automated test environments and frameworks.
